Die F. Zimmermann GmbH entwickelt und baut Portalfräsmaschinen, die für die Bearbeitung von Oberflächen im Automobil- und Flugzeugbau und weiteren Industriebetrieben, wie z.B. dem Werkzeug- oder Schiffsbau, genutzt werden. In diesem Segment gilt das Unternehmen als weltweit führend. Darüber hinaus produziert F. Zimmermann mehrachsige Fräsköpfe, Modellbaumaschinen und Bettfräsmaschinen und bietet maßgeschneiderte Lösungen bei Fertigungsprozessen für großvolumige Bauteile an. Bei dem global vernetzten Unternehmen mit Repräsentanzen in Deutschland, in den USA und in China arbeiten mehr als 190 Mitarbeiter.
FZP32 BOX IN BOX CONCEPT
The special feature is the thermo-symmetrical design with a center-guided Z-slide. This design and the guide arrangement increase stability and also save weight - making the machine more dynamic, more productive and more energy-efficient. To make this possible, Zimmermann has designed its machine portfolio to be thermo(load)-symmetrical.
The centrally guided Z-slider of the gantry in double bridge design has a large cross-section, which makes it extremely stable. Zimmermann achieves a very high level of rigidity with this design. And because no one-sided heating can occur, this increases accuracy enormously. Thanks to the optimized structure, less mass has to be moved and the machine works faster and more dynamically.

A special titanium application for our aerospace customer gave us the chance to spec out a turnkey machine. Besides fixturing, cooling, etc. we merged with Mapal, our partner for tooling, to combine their new generation of titanium tools, line boring technology and our machining solutions for a successful and challenging project.

ZIMMERMAN die letzte oelung im maschinenbau, nach zimmermann kommt es einem nicht mehr... Wenn der steife Fraeserpimmel ueber die Flaechen rast, kann ihn nichts aufhalten, beim Wegmachen des Ueberfluessigen, zum Tode verurteilten Materials. So muss Fortschritt aussehen, unaufhaltsamer Fortschritt, was im Wege ist wird eliminiert, gnadenlos, der Fraeserpimmel ist gnadenlos, ob von vorne oder von hinten, links oder rechts, oben oder unten, fuer Befriedigung(Climax) wird gesorgt......
fehlt nur noch das es nicht NUR Material abträgt, sondern die Zeit gekommen ist für Kombination aus ab- und auftragend Bearbeitung

Bitte macht ein ähnliches Produkt in klein, langsam und günstig, welches in die Garage eines Hobbyisten passt und preislich in der Region eines Kleinwagens liegt. Davon würden sich bestimmt hohe Stückzahlen verkaufen lassen, in dem Markt welcher durch Fusion 360 erschlossen wurde. Ich würde mir lieber eine solche Maschine kaufen, als einen Zweitwagen. Es ist wirklich traurig, dass die Kluft zwischen Heimwerkern und Industrie immer größer wird.
Hä? Bei Zimmermann geht es nicht um Hobby- oder Heimwerkermaschinen. Falls du eine 5-Achs Maschine für den Hobbybereich suchst musst du mal bei BZT schauen ;)

Ich bin entzückt.
How many axis ?
... well do you even say „axis“ if this thing can reach any point within a 3 dimensional ROOM. But yeah lets count them: 1: hight 4/5: tilt (in a/b and c/d 2: width 6: Head 360 rotation 3:length 7: probably possible option to mount a rotatable table (enough room haha...) So basically it’s nothing outta this world. The big benefit of this machine is the big "workspace", more likely workroom in which the 6-axis head can freely move without restrictions in engine and movement mechanics inside a small cabinet. Therefore it can reach every point from every angle, only general milling restrictions like cutting tool-geometrics. Cheers ^^

Kostet so um die 500k, bei 25€ im Monat wären es 1.666 Jahre. Wenn man davon ausgeht, dass jeder Nachfahre von 18-70 erwerbstüchtig ist wäre die Maschine nach gerade mal 32 Generationen abbezahlt. Ich würde folgendes in Betracht ziehen: für jede Generation in der es zwei Nachfolger gibt halbiert sich die Restlaufzeit.
